Tedious but can be completed. Bear statues within the Labyrinth are the only source of Angry earth and, with cub spawns sub 50%, will drop 3 of the Brilliant Seedlings per spawn. There is only a low chance of the Petrified Bear turning into an Angry earth spawn however so best to just avoid this quest.
